Storms Are Opportunities

"By faith, Noah built a ship in the middle of dry land. He was warned about something he couldn't see, and acted upon what he was told. The result? His family was saved. His act of faith drew a sharp line between the evil of the unbelieving world and the rightness of the believing world. As a result, Noah became intimate with God." Hebrews 11:7 [NKJV]

Technology has replaced intimacy(social media, emails, the internet etc.). God desires an intimate relationship with you. Seize those God-given opportunities that come your way. Build your life on the high ground. Noah found favour with the Lord through his obedience.

The Ark is symbolic of God's covenant with you; a covenant to uphold and protect you. You're guaranteed comfort in Him. There may be times when it seems that nothing is happening. But that is when you have to learn to rest in Him. God always has a purpose and may be preparing you for greater things. Be anxious for nothing, but in all things give thanks (Philippians 4:6-7).

I'm certain that while the Ark was being prepared, Noah's children must have questioned whether Noah had, indeed heard from God. But when the rainstorm came the Ark floated away safely. Storms will buffet our lives, but here is comfort and safety in God's word to see us through. (Isaiah 55:11)

God will never leave you no matter what. Remember, there is always a rainbow beyond your storm; there's no expiry date on God's promises.
