Delight Yourself in The Lord

God gives you the desires of your heart, but you must delight yourself in Him; He must become the source of your desires.

"But see first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you." Matthew 6:33 [NKJV]

How do you delight yourself in the Lord? By giving Jesus first place in your life. He is the author and finisher of your faith. Don't put your faith in confession or principles but in Him. Study and meditate on the Word, it's your source of life.

"My son give attention to my words, incline your ear to my sayings." Proverbs 4:20 [NKJV]

When you meditate on the Word, your mind is being renewed. As mentioned, all action is triggered in the mind. When we know God's will (based on His Word) we will want what He desires for us.

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning." James 1:17 [NKJV]

C.S Lewis summed it up, "Fully to enjoy is to glorify. In commanding us to glorify Him, God is inviting us to enjoy Him."
