The Comforter Has Come

"And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you." John 14:16-17 [NKJV]

While Jesus walked the earth He was limited to time and space in His physical body but we now have the Holy Spirit abiding in us. He knew how much we would have to depend on the Holy Spirit and assured us that we'd do greater works in His name.

"Most assuredly I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to my Father." John 14:12 [NKJV]

Acts 10:38 tells us that God anointed Jesus with the Holy Ghost and with power. As the Father sent Him, Jesus sends us in the same manner - anointed with the Holy Ghost and power according to John 17:18. Then, and only then, can we do the greater works. The Holy Spirit is the One who makes the difference. It starts in the secret place with God. There's no greater joy than to be immersed in Him, enjoying His awesome presence.

"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my Name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things I said to you." John 14:26 [NKJV]
