Where He Leads Me

"Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that Great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect." Hebrews 13:20-21 [NKJV]

"To Him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear His voice; and He calls His own sheep by name and leads them out. And when He brings out His own sheep, He goes before them; and the sheep follow Him, for they know His voice." John 10:3-4 [NKJV]

We might be distracted and go astray, but He will always be there to pick us up and redirect us (Isaiah 53:6). He goes ahead to ensure that we don't stumble; He leads us to prime pastures and crystal-clear waters because we deserve the best (John 10:10). Excellence pales in His "more-than-excellent" presence. He is perfecting His people unto righteousness. (Psalm 23:3)

"Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." Philippians 1:6 [NKJV]

"There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death." Proverbs 14:12 [NJKV]

Can you hear the voice of the Shepherd echo across the valley (of sin), entreating you to return to your first love?
