John 5:30(Amplified) "I am able to do nothing from Myself (independantly, of My own accord - but only as I am taught by God and as I get His orders). Even as I hear, I judge (I decide as I am bidden to decide. As the voice comes to Me, so I give a decision), and My judgement is right (just, righteous), because i do not seek or consult My own will (I have no desire to do what is pleasing to Myself, My own aim, My own purpose) but only the will and pleasure of the Father who sent Me."
Jesus displayed patience in His ministry. He was guided by and trusted His Father implicitly. Although He had stepped out of eternity into the constraints of time, Jesus waited on His Father. He fulfilled His purpose and received the promise.
Num. 23: 19,20 (NKJ) "God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? Behold, I have received a command to bless, He has blessed, adn cannot reverse it."
James 1: 17 " Every desirable and beneficial gift comes out of heaven. The gifts are rivers of light cascading down from the Father of light. There is nothing deceitful in God, nothing two-faced, nothing fickle."
God never fails because He is unchanging. We're blessed when we trust God (Ps 1:1-3).
Patience is the fore-runner of trust.
