He chooses, not you

1 Cor 1:27 - 29 (NKJ). "But God has chosen the foolish things of this world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen and the things which are not to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence."
This is the wonderful thing about God. He doesn't need your CV to impress Him. He's not looking to see how many university degrees you have, or whether you went to the correct private school and have the "proper" upbringing.
No, God seeks out those who have a heart towards Him. Men and women who will simply surrender and bow to His Authority.
You could come from an informal settlement or have little education, but once you hand yourself to God a transformation takes place.
God can take your inadequacies, your faults and failures and polish them into gems of delight because that is what God can do. Nothing is too hard for Him. Can scientists create the sun? No. Can scientists change the heart of a human being? No - except with a physical transplant.
Yes, God gets special pleasure out of taking what the world discards and despises and turns them into precious blood - washed saints.
